Here are some answers to my most frequently asked questions, and information on your tattoo appointment and aftercare. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need more info :)

  • Click the ‘Book’ section at the top left of this page and it will take you to a form to fill in. Please be patient in waiting for a response - I aim to get back to everyone within a few days but this can fluctuate depending on how busy I am.

  • I charge by design, and take into account if it’s custom or flash. Customs are more costly than flash, because of the time it takes to design and draw your tattoo before the appointment. Placement, size, how long it takes, and the amount of detail are also taken into account. Because of these varying factors, it is best to fill out a booking form with as much detail as possible. I will then reply with a quote, but there is no pressure to book in, just let me know!

  • If you are over 18, then you can get tattooed! It doesn’t matter your age, size, physical ability, gender, skin colour or background - everyone is welcome with me. If you have any special access needs or I need to know anything to help you feel comfortable during your appointment, there is a dedicated box for this on the booking form.

The only things I can’t tattoo over are cuts, bruises, scrapes, sun burn or eczema - any kind of broken or damaged skin.

Medications such as blood thinners, Accutane and steroids can cause slow or complicated healing, or increase the risk of infection. Conditions like Crohn's disease, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as treatments like immunosuppressants, can also weaken the immune system, making individuals more susceptible to tattoo-related infections and complications. Please consult your doctor before getting tattooed if any of this applies to you.

  • Of course you can! Please fill out a booking form and list everything you would like on that one form.

  • If you would like to get a matching tattoo with a friend or you would both like to get tattooed at the same time, please fill out a booking form as normal, and in the custom box please explain that it's for two people and what each person is getting.

I just ask that you respect the calm nature of the studio, and are ready to wait as long as necessary while the other is getting tattooed.

  • I have my own private studio in Bedminster, Bristol. It’s a small, safe space and a super relaxing environment to be in. Have a click through the Studio highlight on my instagram to see what it looks like!

  • As long as they are at least a year healed, it's absolutely no problem. I have a lot of experience with this. If you're concerned, send me an email and we can have a chat.

  • Due to the small studio space, it is preferable for you to come alone. This means my studio can be as calm and spacious as possible, and I can be totally focused. I understand getting a tattoo can feel intimidating, which is why my studio is so focused on making it a safe and fun experience.

There are plenty of shops and cafes near by if you would like to be dropped off or picked up.

If you need a carer with you, or really need someone for support, this is fine but please only bring one person.

  • Please come to your appointment well rested. Make sure you've eaten well and are hydrated. Don't drink the night before.

Keep the area you are getting tattooed moisturised in the days leading up to your appointment. Don't worry about shaving it - I will do this for you.

I cannot tattoo over fake tan, sunburn, cuts, scrapes or bruises.

  • I am enjoying making tattooing a soft experience! It doesn't need to be a scary, uncomfortable or unnecessarily painful thing. My studio is a private, relaxed and inclusive studio. I found getting a tattoo to be a healing experience for my relationship with my body, and I hope it can be the same for you.

Bring water and a sugary snack or drink, this can help if you're feeling nervous or faint.

I have music playing in the studio and am always up for a chat, but if you'd prefer not to talk or wear headphones, that's fine.

Communicate with me - it is your body and you have the final say, I will only suggest things. We can move the stencil about, change the design and size, nothing is annoying for me and it's important you're happy.

You can have a break or stretch whenever you need to. Get in contact with me if you're worried about anything or want to let me know something.

  • After Your Tattoo

Stay well-hydrated and get plenty of rest - especially after a long session, which can be physically taxing.

Avoid the Following (for at least 2 weeks, or until fully healed):

    • Sun exposure, fake tan, swimming, or soaking in water

    • Picking or scratching the tattoo

    • Tight clothing or anything that rubs the area

    • Suncream (only apply once fully healed)

    • Shaving over the tattoo

    • Excessive moisturising

    Second Skin Care

    If second skin was applied:

    • Leave it on for 3 days. Showering is fine, but avoid baths or excessive sweating.

    • It may appear leaky underneath - this is normal. However, if ink or plasma leaks out the edges, remove it immediately to prevent bacteria from entering.

    • Remove gently in the shower using warm water. Wash the area with a fragrance-free soap (e.g. Sanex 0%) and pat dry with a clean towel or kitchen roll.

    • If you experience redness or irritation around the edges, remove it early and continue with aftercare.

    • Only rewrap if the second skin comes off the same day - use clean cling film and freshly washed hands.

    Cling Film Care

    If cling film was used:

    • Remove it before bed on the day of your tattoo. Wash gently in the shower with fragrance-free soap and pat dry.

    • Rewrap with fresh cling film overnight.

    • In the morning, remove, wash again, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of moisturiser.

    Moisturising Tips:
Only apply moisturiser when the tattoo feels dry. Over-moisturising can cause infection. Natural coconut oil or cocoa butter is recommended.
